Builders Back to Business with the Launch of UP-RERA Site

The Uttar Pradesh, chief minister Yogi Adityanath launched online RERA registration platform, on Wednesday morning in Lucknow. The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association (Credai) expressed great relief with the launch of online RERA registration platform. For the builders, this heralds going back to business as they would now be able to promote their upcoming projects officially, post RERA registration.

Unlike other states, in UP, the builders can register their projects on the site and instantly get a RERA registration number. This bodes well for all those builders who were not being able to advertise their upcoming projects in the media as the Act prevented any non-RERA project to be sold in the state. The builders now have four days until July 31st to register their existing projects. A grace of a few days is being expected for everyone to come on table with the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Act (UP-RERA).

This comes as a huge relief and the instant registration number is a great feature. So builders can today itself register their project and then advertise their upcoming projects. Business should get moving now. While July 31 is the last official date for existing projects, we hope the builders would get a few days grace to comply. Over all it is good news for all stake-holders, said Manoj Gaur, president, Credai-NCR.

RK Arora, chairman Supertech said while commenting on the launch that they were already prepared with their paperwork for this. So they will register all their projects..

The website will be open for all and people can, at any point of time, verify details about the builders antecedents, including their registration number

Mukul Singhal, Principal Secretary (Housing) said that the website has been developed to ensure that people do not have to take rounds of offices to verify builder details and that at a click of a button they can have complete information on the builders from who he or she is planning to buy a property.

He also informed that as soon as the builder or developer feeds all the data relevant to his or her company, they would be given a unique identity number immediately. Earlier, this process, would have taken a minimum of 45 days.
