CCI - Competition Commission of India has approved the deal.JSW Energy, has signed a share-purchase agreement with GMR Energy to acquire its entire stake in 1,050 MW thermal power plant, GMR Kamalanga worth Rs 5,321 crore as a part of GMR's second landmark deal.

GMR Infra is expected to narrow its margin against the debt significantly. The company is also expected to divest its other non-core assets, including roads and power plants.
